Foundation Skills-Positive Dog Training

Positive Dog Training

Foundation Skills

These classes are ideal for pups graduating puppy class or for adolescent and adult dogs.
For Puppy Class graduates the behaviours and skills learned there will be strengthened and built upon plus new skills are added.
However, the classes are also suitable for new learners and a comprehensive overview is provided in the initial theory lesson which is without dogs
Class size is limited to 6 dogs and the course runs for 5 weeks.
The course is focused on teaching you to teach your dogs useful behaviours.  The behaviours are designed to circumvent common, normal dog behaviours that are not typically desired by humans, such as jumping up, counter surfing, pulling on the lead to name a few.
Instead, I will teach you to train your dog to do the behaviours that are useful, including:
Go to your mat & settle
     Drop
     Wait
     Walk on a loose lead
     Leave It
     Recall
     Do an emergency U-Turn
